Danse Macabre

In the book there was a point where all of the ghosts were busily hustling about, singing, laughing, preparing, and for once just absolutely excited. This was the day of the Macabre. The Macabre is a dance between the living and the dead. Many of the pictures and videos depict this as skeletons, but in this story they were ghosts. This was an extremely important part in the book because the ghosts felt important and celebrated being who they were. Also Bod saw how truly wonderful it felt to be with people of his own kind (living). He also saw Silas and his true feelings of being neither dead nor alive. He felt like an outcast.
